THE CHAPARRAL - Coachella Valley's Music and Arts Festival ...

The first of two weekends of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival has come and gone

It has finally happened! ?The biggest Coachella Valley music festival wowed the crowds over the weekend.? After months of preparations and hype, weekend one of the now world renowned festival has come and gone, but fans still have weekend two to look forward to. The first of two weekends kicked off on April 13, and continued through the 15.

What did the festival bring?? Plenty:? The new faces of tourists in town, a few closed-off streets and more traffic, but above all else, music and excitement!

The Coachella Music and Arts Festival now gathers people from all over the world. Everyone comes?anticipating seeing their favorite artists hit the stage. As for residents of the area, traffic and detours are what plague them. For safety purposes, and to facilitate the way for festival goers, the streets closest to the Empire Polo Club are temporarily closed, causing jam packed streets.? But this doesn?t?overshadow people?s excitement.

There were a lot of expectations for this year?s CoachellaFest.? These include not only big name headliners, but the?event?s organizers, Goldenvoice,?decided to make it a two-weekend event. Even though the same artists are scheduled to perform both weekends people expect they will be entertained with a great show

In contrast to all previous years because of the addition of the second weekend, the excitement surrounding the festival has not boiled over once the festival is over. Fans still have the next weekend to look forward to. Not only?fans, but?many artists arrived early to do sound checks- just to make sure everything went as planned on opening day.
